Ceylon Baithulmal Celebrates 50 years of dedicated service
Al-Hamdulillah! The Ceylon Baithulmal Fund had reached a milestone by completing Fifty Years service to the Community. To commemorate this event, the following activities were carried out, that is given in brief:-
- Recital of Kathamal Quran, in memory of the demised members of the CBF;
- Award of 150 A/L Scholarship to the needy, from various parts of the Country;
- Release of a Commemorative Rs.5/= Postage Stamp and 1st day cover at Galadari Hotel on 3rd July, 2007;
- A Public Session held at the BMICH on 29th July, 2007, in the morning, with Two distinguished Foreign Speakers, viz., Sir Iqbal Sakranie from U.K. and Justice Abu Baker Noor Mohamed from South Africa and also our own Dr. M.A.M. Shukri of Naleemiyah Institute, Beruwela;
- Night Function held at Galadari Hotel on 29th July, 2007, with the Guest Speaker, Mr. Faiz Mustapha P.C.;
- Launching of the CBF Web site;
- Release of 50th Anniversary Journal.
- Obtained donation worth 3 Million for our Qardh Hassana Scheme.
President of Sri Lanka, Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa donates One Million Rupees to Baithulmal Fund

During the launching ceremony of the 50th anniversary stamp at the Galadari Hotel, President of Sri Lanka, Hon. Mahinda Rajapakse handed over a cheque valued Rs.1,000,000/= from president's fund.
Amana Takaful donates 1.5 Million Rupees to Baithulmal Fund

The leading investment bank came forward during the 50th anniversary to let Baithulmal continue the good work.
