More and more Muslim families in Sri-Lanka are falling into the poverty trap. Unless urgent and comprehensive programmes are put in place to systematically help the poor Muslims of this country change their condition, they are bound to be desecrated into sacrilegious servitude for their survival. Time is running out for the well to do Muslims and the leaders of the community to meet this social problem head on, remembering that no condition is permanent, and poverty and richness are phases in Allah's wisdom of allocating his bounties.
Today many Muslims in the working and business circles have little or no time to spare. Although very concerned about their religious obligations and sympathetic towards the less fortunate than they, there is no time or contact for many Muslims of Sri-Lankan origin (particularly working in foreign countries) to reach out to the deserving Muslims back in Sri-Lanka. The Ceylon Baithulmal Fund can assist you to fulfill your religious Zakat obligations and other wishes to help the poor. The Ceylon Baithulmal Fund with its ground network involving other organizations and approximately fifty years of experience will receive your funds and make you a partner in any project of your choice from the projects listed here and keep you informed of progress and impact of your contributions on the life of the beneficiaries. May Almighty guide all of us, make our intentions pure and noble and accept our prayers and deeds. Ameen.
