SEWING MACHINE FUNDThe CBF is convinced that the provision of a sewing machine to a muslim woman could ensure a livelihood and/or enhance the family income and thereby help alleviate poverty. The cost per machine is about Rs.20,500/- and in the last twelve months, almost 100 machines have been given out under this scheme to widows, orphans as well as poor married women. Nowadays, there is a large number of women who need sewing machines in order to enhance their family incomes. We have a waiting list of over 200 eligible women requesting a sewing machine.
