CBF VOCATIONAL TRAINING

As an extension of the Scholarship programme, the CBF Vocational Training Fund caters to students in both sexes who have studied up to the secondary level of their education, but who are not qualified or otherwise unable to pursue their studies any further. They are a group of young and vulnerable teenagers and the CBF is helping this group to learn different vocations so that they can find employment and/or start their own businesses. During the past year 145 students have benefited from this scheme.  Again, we believe this is a step towards the upliftment of the Community and moving one small step towards poverty alleviation. Depending on the nature and duration of the training, it could cost between Rs.5,000 to Rs.3,000 per student. During the last year we have spent Rs 1,750,000 for this programme.
